I graduated as an architect in 2018 and immediately joined an architecture firm. It was a normal transition from college to working as a junior architect. But somehow I felt unsettled in my career. I was unhappy with the normal progression that architects are supposed to go through: going to college, working as a junior architect for several years without getting much learning. It felt like I couldnโ€™t fly as high as I wanted to.

I wanted to grow, but I was lost. I left my job in Nov 2019 and decided to take freelance projects. I got some 3D-rendering projects initially but then the pandemic struck and everything came to a standstill. I spent a lot of time watching webinars from industry experts and dedicated long hours to learning new skills. But there were no tangible returns.

Nothing was going my way and my career prospects seemed dim. I decided to take a break and contemplate. Meanwhile, I continued to pursue my passion for learning languages. I even started an online language learning community along with my friend. But it was difficult to make a living with it. I was creating graphic posts for social media but it was for my own community so there was no one to pay. However, it led me to other opportunities as I got to work for two Edtech companies and offer my services as a freelance graphic designer. Initially, I made posts on canva but I needed to get more professional in order to grow. I had to buy a new laptop on EMI so I could work on adobe suite.

My sister was working as a content writer at Pepper Content. So she asked me to apply there as a graphic designer. At first, I was skeptical, because I did not have formal training in graphic design. I felt nervous and intimidated. But my sister convinced me to give it a try.

I applied and got selected! That is when my learning (read: uphill path) started. I spent days and nights working on assignments to keep up with the deadlines. No matter how many reworks I got, I kept working hard and took it as a challenge to hone my skills. Soon I started getting assignments more regularly and my confidence started to build. Itโ€™s been 6 months now since I started at Pepper Content and I have completed 25 assignments to date.

Today I can truly believe in what Alexander the Great said, โ€œThere is nothing impossible to him who will try.โ€

I have tried to search for so many opportunities, but there is literally no other platform like Pepper Content, at least in India. I like the way their team manages projects end to end. They discuss assignments before assigning and share the client feedback to make sure we deliver what is expected. Working for Pepper content has been my best decision ever.

I want to share my story with others, who like me spend days doubting themselves. If I could inspire even one person to achieve their potential, I would consider it one of my achievements! Cheers
